Seagate launches its 3TB FreeAgent GoFlex Desk (STAC3000100), that world’s first 3TB external hard drive. The 3TB GoFlex Desk uses USB 2.0 and as part of the GoFlex line, upgrade cables and kits are available to make it easy to move up from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 or FireWire 800.
Seagate’s 3TB drive works with Windows PC and Mac and supports AES 192-bit encryption on Windows. The 3TB GoFlex Desk is available with USB 2.0 adapter for $249.
