Transcend launches its first HD media player, the DMP100 that offers Full HD 1920×1080 video playback and HDMI 1.3 digital output. The player does not have internal storage but it does provide two USB ports for external storage.
The DMP100 is capable of 1080p 24Hz display mode for 24fps smooth movie playback and supports Dolby Digital, DTS audio decoding. The device supports a wide range of media formats including the following:
- Video Formats: H.264, VC-1, RMVB, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, DivX, XviD, WMV9, MJPEG, FLV
- Image Formats: JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF
- Audio Formats: MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG Vorbis, RA, FLAC, WAV, LPCM(*2), Dolby Digital(*2), DTS(*2)
- Subtitle Formats: SRT, SUB, IDX+SUB, SMI, ASS, SSA
