HID Global announced the new OmniKey 6221 USB reader that supports both microSD flash memory card up to 32GB and SIM-sized contactless smart cards. With contactless smart card support, the OMNIKEY 6221 delivers data protection and secure content issuance using encryption and digital signatures in conjunction with PIN protection, preventing unauthorize access to data contained in the microSD.

The OmniKey 6221 measures 94 x 26 x 15mm and weighs 17g.
