A company called Realease introduces the Shogo, 10-inch Open tablet based on ARM processor and running Linux OS. The Shogo is boosted by a Freescale iMX-37 533MHz CPU, 256MB of RAM, 4GB internal flash memory. It comes with a 10.1-inch 1024×600 touchscreen and a 2 Megapixel camera.
In fact, the Shogo is the tablet, on which the QOOQ cooking tablet is based. The device supports Bluetooth, Ethernet LAN, WiFi 802.11b/g and 3G and Zigbee via optional USB dongles. Other features include 2Wx2 speakers, microphone, motion sensor, accelerometer, light sensor and built-in battery for 8 hours of use.
The Shogo open tablet will be available at the end of August 2010 with a unit price of $500.
