Imation announced its Defender line of secure data storage products, including flash drive, external hard drive, optical media and a software suite. They all have AES 256-bit encryption and FIPS 140-2 validated.
First of all the Defender F50 Pivot Flash drive is FIPS 140-2 Level 1 validated and coms with easy-to-use security software offering users control over data security. The Defender F100 and F150 flash drive are FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated. They provide strong password authentication and have a waterproof and dustproof enclosure.
Then the Defender F200 Biometric Flash Drive protects your data with two factor authentication; strong password and biometric authentication capabilities. It is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated.
As for external hard drive, you can expect the FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated Defender H100 and H200. They both include password authentication and the latter adds biometric fingerprint. Imation also brings Defender Optical that comes in CD-R, DVD-R and BD-R formats.
