EIZO launches the Raptor WS3001 30-inch LCD display that is capable fo 2K x 2K and desgined for non-critical ATC environments such as training and simulation centers and technical labs. The WS3001 is able to downscale 2048×2048 signals to a 1600×1600 resolution or a 2560×2048 signal to 2000×1600 resolution.
In fact, the Raptor WS3001 has a native resolution of 2560×1600 and comes with built-in downscaling system. It has a 270cd/m2 brightness, 900:1 contrast ratio and 178-degree viewing angle. It has USB hub with two downstream ports as well.
The Raptor WS3001 comes with an EIZO-designed ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) built into the monitor. The ASIC features a 12-bit look-up table with a total color palette of 68 billion colors from which the most appropriate 16.7 million are selected. The ASIC also has 16-bit internal processing for smooth display of grayscale tones.
