Sapphire announced the Radeon HD5970 4G TOXIC Edition, which is said to be the fastest graphics card ever. Based on ATI’s Radeon HD5970 GPU. the TOXIC Edition has a core clock speed of 900MHz and memory clock speed at 1299MHz and comes with 4GB of GDDR5 memory. It sports 3200 stream processors and 160 texture units.
Sapphire’s Radeon HD5970 4G TOXIC supports DirectX 11 and the ATI Eyefinity technology for multi display. The card is equipped with onboard hardware UVD (Unified Video decoder) capable of 1080p HD video decoding. It is cooled by customised solution from Arctic Cooling with nickel plated heatpipes and fins, featuring three low-noise dual ball bearing fans. There is HDMI 1.3a output with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio support.
