TomTom introduces its new GO LIVE 1000, the first in a whole new generation of navigation devices, “designed to bring real-time services to millions of drivers”. Boosted by an ARM11 500MHz processor, the device features a new Webkit-based user interface and a capacitive touchscreen.
The Go Live 1000 has 128MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. It will includes a new routing algorithm that continuously scans the road network for the fastest routes, and richer and more detailed maps. The new Park Assist feature is also included to automatically inform drivers of car parks near their destination. The Go Live 1000 will be avialable in Summer.
