TMN, the major mobile carrier in Portugal, is going to launch Samsung Blue Earth eco-friendly mobile phone with the world’s first paper SIM card. The company has also partnered with international suppliers Incard and Toppan to distribute the recycled paper SIM cards.
Samsung‘s Blue Earth is a solar-powered cellphone made from Post Consumer Material (PCM), extracted from water bottles. It features a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, support for HSDPA network and FM tuner. It is available in Portugal for Euro 239.
