AT&T adds to its LaptopConnect portfolio the Sierra Wireless AirCard 890 that has a unique 2-in-1 form factor supporting both PC Card and ExpressCard slots. The AirCard 890 supports HSPA 7.2Mbps 3.5G mobile network and includes built-in GPS functionality for location-based services as well as VPN support, and automatic reconnection capability.
The Sierra Wireless AirCard 890 comes with AT&T’s Global Network Client (AGNC). It is priced at $49.99 after mail-in rebate and a new two-year DataConnect contract of at least $35 a month.
