While Sharp has 3.4-inch 3D LCD display, Hitachi introduces its 3.1-inch 3D IPS LCD Display. Hitachi’s offering has 480×854 resolution, 400cd/m2 brightness (not as bright as Sharp 3.4-inch LCD), 1000:1 contrast ratio. Hitachi’s 3D IPS display is capable of showing 3D images to users, without the need of 3D glasses. However, it lack touchscreen capability.
