Intel announced its new Xeon 7500 series CPU. Based on 45nm hi-k process technology, the Xeon 7500 series comes with up to 8 cores and 16 threads per socket with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology.
The Xeon 7500 has up to 24MB of L3 cache and features the Intel Scalable Memory Interconnect results in 9 times the memory bandwidth of prior generations, supporting up to 1TB of memory.
