Sprint and Motorola have announced the Motorola i1, the world’s first iDEN push-to-talk smartphone running the Android OS. The new iDEN phone features a 3.1-inch touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash, WiFi connectivity and microSD card slot.

The Motorola i1 runs Android 1.5 and comes with the Opera Mini 5 browser with Flash 8, Microsoft Document Viewer and the Swype virtual keyboards. It is rugged meeting the Military 810F standards. The i1 will be released in Summer 2010.
