Samsung is launching its first e-book reader, the E6, in the US market in partnership with Barnes & Noble. The E6 features a 6-inch e-ink display with 600×800 resolution, 8-Gray scale, built-in MP3 player, Bluetooth for connecting headphones and WiFi 802.11b/g for direct purchase and download of content.
The Samsung E6 comes with an electromagnetic resonance (EMR) stylus pen that grants users the writing capabilities. It has 2GB of onboard memory and a microSD card slot for expansion. Through Samsung’s partnership with Barnes & Noble, users can easily download more than one million eBooks and ePeriodicals, with most bestsellers at $9.99.
