AmbienTec launches two portable solar charging systems, the SolarFold that opens up like a folding screen and the SolarFan that open up like a fan. Both of them are portable and easy to carry.
The SolarFold and SolarFan are the first portable solar chargers to utilize light gathering spherical solar cells, each with 1900 spheres. Both systems have a maximum power output of 2W and an output voltage at 5V. It uses USB interface for output. Other than charging gadgets directly, the chargers comes with two AA nickel-hydrogen cells for storing energy.
AmbienTec’s SolarFold and SolarFan both are priced at 22,050 Yen.
