Hitachi Maxell showed at the International Rechargeable Battery Expo the new laminated lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery (model IMS65142235). This new battery will be used for the power supplies of electric bikes, automated guided vehicles, etc and has rated capacity, nominal voltage, final voltage and maximum current at 10Ah, 3.7V, 2.75V and 30A, respectively.
According to Hitachi Maxell, the new laminated Li-ion battery’s positive electrode is made with a material containing a spinel-type manganese oxide, which has a high heat stability. The company also displayed a cylindrically-shaped Li-ion battery that has a high energy density.
