TRENDNet announced two new power saving 10/100Mbps switches, the TE100-S16g and TE100-S24g, both include the company’s GREENnet technology that “determines and supplies the appropriate amount of electrical power to each hardwired switching port as required by the connected device, by the port, or by the length of the connected Ethernet cable.”
The TE100-S16g is a 16-port 10/100Mbps switch with a total switching capacity of 3.2Gbps with Full-Duplex mode support for all 16 Auto-Negotiation RJ-45 ports, while the 24-Port TE100-S24g offers a total switching capacity of 4.8Gbp and 24 Full Duplex Auto-Negotiation RJ-45 ports.
TRENDnet’s TE100-S16g and TE100-S24g GREENnet switches are priced at $69 and $89 respectively.
