Dell announced the new OptiPlex 980 commercial desktop PC and the FX100 Zero client solution. Starting at $807, the OptiPlex 980 packs Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor and optional SSD for increased performance and reliability.
The Dell FX100 Zero is a slim desktop ideal for both the Virtual Remote Desktop and the Dedicated Remote Workstation solutions. It uses PC-over-IP technology (PCoIP) and does not require a processor, operating system or corporate image to manage. The FX100 has a fan-less, driverless and stateless form factor.
