After the My Book Elite and My Book Studio, Western Digital (WD) adds the e-label Smart display to its all-new My Passport Studio portable hard drive designed and formatted for Mac. In addition to the USB 2.0, the drive includes also FireWire 800 interface for super-fast transfer speed, like the My Book Studio.
Available in 640GB, 500GB and 320GB, the new My Passport Studio features 256-bit hardware-based encryption and password protection for securing data. It is HFS+ Journaled formatted and is loaded with WD SmartWare software that visually presents consumers’ data in a software control center.
The price of the Mac-oriented portable hard drive ranges from $149.99 to $199.99.
