While the Galaxy 2 has not been official, Samsung announced its SHW-M100S, the company’s first Android smartphone for South Korea. The M100S is powered by a 800MHz processor and runs the Android 2.1 OS. It gets a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel camera, GPS and WiFi 802.11n connectivity.
The Samsung SHW-M100S comes with built-in T-DMB tuner and supports DivX video playback. It includes the TouchWiz UI. The phone will be available in Korea in March on SK Telecom. This is probably the second phone for the Korean company, after Motorola’s MOTOROI.
