Panasonic introduces the new Lumix DMC-FX66 (aka DMC-FX68) digital camera, the latest addition to the FX series that is the successor of the FX60/FX65. The 14.1 Megapixel camera features a 25mm wide angle lens with 5x optical zoom, Venus Engine VI image processor and a 2.7-inch LCD display.
The FX66 includes the Intelligent Zoom function that extends the zooming power to 6.5x. It has also the iA (Intelligent Auto) mode offering Face Recognition, Intelligent Resolution, AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control and Intelligent Exposure. The new Lumix can record 1280x720p HD video at 30fps.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX66 will be released in Japan on 19 February. In total, the camera comes in six colors, but the black one will not be available in Japan.
