Sharp announced the BD-MPC41, a new Blu-ray home-theater-in-a-box (HTIB) system that incorporates advanced Audyssey sound enhancement technology and iPod support. The 5.1-channel home theater system offers a total of 1020-watt output power.
Sharp BD-MPC41 supports playback of Blu-ray Disc, DVDs and CDs as well as MP3 CD and Image CD. It offers 1080p video output with 24fps and supports surround sound technologies such as Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential. The system is compatible with BD-Live and comes with FM tuner and built-in iPod dock. It has also an Ethernet port for BD-Live functionality and Netflix movie streaming.
The Sharp BD-MPC41 comes with a soundbar that combines left, center and right speakers and has a high-gloss black finish. It sports HDMI 1.3 with xv Color and AQUOS Pure Mode for automatic color correction. The HTIB system will be available in Q2 2010 for $749.99.
