Garmin announced the nuvi 1490TV personal GPS navigation device that comes with integrated DVB-T digital terrestrial TV and radio tuner. The 1490TV has a 5-inch touchscreen display and is pre-loaded with detailed road maps of Europe.
Thanks to the DVB-T tuner, Garmin’s 1490TV pick up freeview digital TV and radio content from over 14 countries across Europe. The device features free premium traffic updates, safety camera warnings, a database with over two million Points of Interest (POI’s) and Bluetooth for hands-free calling. It has built-in stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Garmin nuvi 140-TV will be available in Europe in early April 2010 for GBP299/Euro 299.
