At the CES 2010, Panasonic introduced the “industry’s only second generation portable Blu-ray Disc players“, the DMP-B500 and DMP-B100. They are equipped with the company’s PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus that “precisely processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the vertical direction.”
Panasonic DMP-B500 comes with a 10.1-inch LCD display and VIERA CAST internet functionality with Wi-Fi connection, VIERA Link, a SD memory card slot for JPEG image and AVCHD video playback and a USB port. The DMP-B100, on the other hand, has a 8.9-inch screen and a SD slot for just JPEG viewing. Both players support Dolby Digital and DTS HD aduio.
Panasonic’s DMP-B500 and DMP-B100 will be available in Spring 2010.
