Sanyo launches the world’s slimmest and lightest sound recorder, the Xacti Sound Recorder ICR-XPS01M. It can record voice and sound in Linear PCM format with 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, 1,411 kbps with a maximum of 21,000 Hz recording or in MP3 format with up to 44.1 kHz, 320 kbps, with a maximum of 20,000 Hz.
The Xacti Sound Recorder features background noise reduction at the same time offers highly sensitive recording. It also does MP3 and WMA playback. The recorder uses microSD card for storage.
Sanyo’s Xacti ICR-XPS01M is priced at $149.99. There is also $199.99 ICR-XPS01MF package that includes the recorder and a speaker cradle. They will be released in March 2010.
