WD (Western Digital) announced its fastest My Book external hard drive that is known as the My Book 3.0. Instead of USB 2.0, the My Book 3.0 utilizes the high-speed USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface that provides 10 times faster transfer speed than USB 2.0.
The sleek, streamlined My Book 3.0 is available in 1TB ($179.99) and 2TB capacities. It is also available a $199.99 kit that includes a USB 3.0 PCIe (gen2) adapter card. Though the official price is $179.99, you can now pre-order the USB 3.0 drive at Amazon for just $149.99.
