Seagate announced at the CES 2010 its new BlackArmor PS110 portable external hard drive kit (model ST905003BPA1ES-RK) that utilizes the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface. The package inludes a 2.5-inch 500GB USB 3.0 hard drive, a USB 3.0 cable, USB power cable and PC ExpressCard adapter.
Thanks to the USB 3.0 high-speed interface, the BlackArmor PS110 offers a transfer rates of 100MB/s, which is three times faster than current USB 2.0 devices. The drive is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
Seagate’s BlackArmor PS110 USB 3.0 drive kit is priced at $179.99.
