Dell updates its Inspiron Mini 10 netbook by giving it the latest Intel Pine Trail Atom N450 1.66GHz processor and longer battery power. The new Mini 10 gets 1GB of RAM, either 160GB or 250GB hard drive and Broadcom Crystal HD for smooth HD playback.
The device, like the original version, has a 10.1-inch 1024×600/1366×768 LCD display. It comes with built-in speaker with SRS Surround sound. 3-cell or 6-cell integrated are available. HDTV tuner and location-aware GPS configurations will also be available. The Mini 10 runs WIndows 7 Starter, or Windows XP Home or Ubuntu. It will be released in early January and starts at $299.
