Addonics has just announced the Pocket eSATA/USB DigiDrive and the the Internal SATA/USB DigiDrive flash memory card readers that offer both eSATA and USB 2.0 connections.
As its name tells, the Pocket eSATA/USB DigiDrive is an external reader while the internal version is to be installed into a standard 3.5-inch drive bay. They provide four card slot supporting a rangeof CompactFlash (CF), SD/SDHC, MMC, Memory Stick, xD, SM MicroDrive cards. They offers a maximum data transfer of up to 1,500 Mbits/sec with eSATA and up to 480 Mbits/sec with USB 2.0. When connected to an eSATA port, any flash media can be used as a bootable device with read/write speed up to 150MB/s.
Addonics’ eSATA/USB DigiDrive readers are priced at $59.99 and both of them come in a standard Read/write and a read-only version.
