Dell introduces the new Vostro V13 business notebook which is based on the design of the original Adamo 13 notebook. The V13 is “encased in high-quality brushed aluminum with reinforced zinc hinges ready for rough handling”. It is just 16.5mm thick and starts at 1.59kg.
Like the Adamo 13, the Vostro 13 is boosted by Intel’s CULV processor, either Core 2 Duo SU7300, Core 2 Solo SU3500 or Celeron 743. It packs up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, onboard Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics and up to a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive.
Dell Vostro V13 has a 13.3-inch LED-backlit display with 1366×768 resolution, a 5-in-1 card reader, a 34mm ExpressCard slot, built-in 1.3 Megapixel webcam. It supports Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11n. A 6-cell Lithium Ion battery is built in to the machine. It will be released in the US later this week starting at $449.
