USB 3.0 will be the next standard PC connectio method, replacing the USB 2.0. To bring the USB 3.0 interface to notebooks, StarTech.com is launching the ExpressCard SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Card Adapter (ECUSB3S2) that provides two USB 3.0 ports.
Based on NEC’s chipset, the 34mm ExpressCard is fully compliant with USB 3.0 revision 1.0 specifications and Intel xHCI and is backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1. However, due the the limitation of the ExpressCard interface, it may not be able to offers full USB 3.0 SuperSpeed.
The ExpressCard USB 3.0 adapter is priced at $49.99.
