UK company Direct Insight announced the TRITON-TX51 SODIMM format system-on-module with Freescale’s powerful i.MX515 multimedia processor featuring 800MHz ARM Cortex-A8 core with Neon VFP unit. The SoM includes also on-chip Ethernet, PowerVR graphics system with OpenGL ES 2.0 and hardware-implemented video codec with up to 720p resolution support.
The TRITON-TX51 has 128MB mobile DDR and 128MB NAND flash. It offers a wide range of interfaces including USB HOST, USB On-the-Go, 24-bit LCD, TV out, Audio out, RS232 and SD card slots. It supports both Windows CE 6.0 and Linux 2.6.
The Direct Insight TRITON-TX51 will be released in January 2010 for about Euro 150.
