Rokland Technologies launches the BearExtender n3, an external WiFi 802.11n adapter for Mac that offers a longer range than the internal WiFi adapter. The n3 uses USB 2.0 interface. It offers up to 4 times the range of built-in Apple AirPort cards and 2X for AirPort Extreme.
The BearExtender n3 combines 802.11n compatibility with a powerful 700mW Wi-Fi radio that is also capable of picking up 802.11g and 802.11b signals from long distances. It has an external 2dBi gain antenna, bypassing interference from recent aluminum enclosures found on Macbook/Macbook Pro/Air notebooks.
The Rokland BearExtender n3 is priced at $44.97. It works with Macs running Mac OS X Panther, Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard.
