SoundMatters introduces the follow-up to the foxL, called the foxL V2. The new portable speaker is available in two versions, the $169 foxL v2 and the $199 foxL v2 Bluetooth.
The pocket-sized foxL V2 features improved Twoofer that can reproduce both extreme high (tweeter) and low (woofer) frequencies from a single very small diameter (25mm) dome speaker. The Twoofer incorporates soundmatter’s Linear Magnetic Drive topology featuring field-focused, back-to-back, dual Extreme-Energy neodymium magnets and a 1-inch, dual voice coil. The speaker includes also the BassBattery, a rubber-encasing lithium-ion battery that serves also as an acoustic suspension bass driver.
The Bluetooth version of the foxL v2 gets new Bluetooth circuitry that provides 3x its previous range and supports Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP technology. The speaker can also connect to audio source using 3.5mm connector. The SoundMatters foxL V2 offers up to 5 hours of battery life and can be recharged via wall charger or USB. Universal Power travel adapter kit is included.
