Nokia announced two new slider mobile phones, the Nokia 6700 slide and Nokia 7230. The former has a modern, compact design and aluminum cover while the latter is more stylish and slim.
The Nokia 6700 slide features a 2.2-inch QVGA LCD display, a 5 Megapixel camera with video recording, Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash, Bluetooth, media player and FM tuner and a microSD card slot. The phone runs Symbian S60 OS.
Nokia’s 7230, on the other hand, runs S40. It gets a 2.4-inch display, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth and FM tuner.
These new Nokia phones support tri-band 3G WCDMA and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. The 6700 slide will come in six colors – aluminum, pink, petrol-blue, red, lime and purple while the 7230 will be available in graphite and hot pink. Coming in Q1 2010, they are priced at Euro 160 and Euro 100 respectively.
