Epson introduces two new ultra short throw projectors, the PowerLite 450W and Epson PowerLite 460, which are designed with K-12 education in mind. The former offers 2500 lumens white light and color light output and WXGA 16:10 resolution while the latter features 3000 lumens brightness and XGA resolution.
These projectors can be mounted as close as 2.5 inches away from the wall to accommodate smaller classrooms or meeting rooms, and can easily be used with a standard or interactive whiteboard, projection screen or a simple white wall. They can can project a 60-inch diagonal image with the lens only 18 inches away.
The 3LCD-based PowerLite 450W and 460 both use Epson‘s exclusive E-TORL lamp technology, the lamp life can last up to 3500 hours. They have built-in closed captioning decoder and are able to instantly project images from a Windows PC or Mac via a USB connection. Over-the-network projection is also possible thanks to the Ethernet LAN port.
The PowerLite 450W and PowerLite 460 are priced at $1499 and $1699 respectively.
