In addition to Motorola DROID, Verizon’s second Android phone is the HTC DROID ERIS. As reported before, the DROID serves as Verizon’s brand for its Android lineup. The HTC ERIS sports a Qualcomm MSM7600 528MHz processor, 512MB ROM and 288MB RAM. It runs Android Cupcake OS and includes the HTC Sense UI.
The DROID ERIS features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, a trackball, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS support and WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity. It has a microSD/SDHC card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset offers seamless compatibility with Google services like Google Maps, Gmail, Google Search and more. It gets Flash Lite player as well.
The HTC DROID ERIS supports dual-band 800/1900MHz, CDMA2000 1xRTT/1xEVDO Rev. A networks. It is available from Verizon for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.
