Acer is going to release this holiday season the new Aspire AS8940G-6865 Core i7-based notebook PC. This new Aspire laptop is boosted by an Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTS250M graphics card.
The 18.4-inch Aspire AS8940G-6865 packs a 500GB 5400RPM hard drive and a 4X Blu-ray/DVD combo drive. It’s 18.4-inch CineCrystal LED-backlit display has 1920x1080p Full HD resolution. The notebook includes support for 802.11a/b/g/n, an Acer CrystalEye webcam, a multi-in-1 media card reader, a HDMI port and an eSATA port.
Acer’s Aspire AS8940G-6865 is equipped with a 5-speaker Acer CineSurround Sound System and features Dolby Home Theater Audio Enhancement. The machine offers also a Touch-Capacitive Media Control Interface. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Priced at $1349.99, a 8-cell battery is included.
