Intel introduces the Solid-State Drive SSD Toolbox with SSD Optimizer and new firmware for better managing and retaining the out-of-box performance its 34nm Intel X25-M SSDs. The Toolbox allows users to monitor and manage the SSD’s health more effectively.
The SSD Optimizer and firmware update use Windows 7’s ATA Data Set Management Command (known as Trim) to help keep the Intel SSD running at continued high performance. The Toolbox offers an user-friendly UI and provides SSD management tools and information about the drive, such as comparing S.M.A.R.T. drive attributes to manufacturer threshold.
