Addonic announceds two new devices, the Pocket Micro SATA UDD and the Internal Micro SATA UDD that allow any 1.8-inch micro SATA hard drive or solid state drive (SSD) to be used like a removable drive cartridge.
The $45 Pocket Micro SATA UDD is a compact external device that connect any 1.8-inch micro SATA hard drive or Solid State Drive (SSD) to computer via eSATA or USB connection while the $39.95 Internal Micro SATA UDD is the internal version that mounts inside a standard 3.5-inch drive bay. The latter can be connected to SATA port or a USB 2.0 port.
Also introduced is the Micro SATA CF adapter that enables a standard CF media to be used as an 1.8-inch Micro SATA storage media. The adapter is shock-resistant. It is priced at $23.99.
