Garmin launches the nuvi 1450, a new GPS device with 5-inch 480×272 touchscreen display. The device is pre-loaded with detailed City Navigator NT street maps, nearly 6 million points of interest (POIs), 2-D or 3-D maps and the speed limit for most major roads and you can get get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names to your destination. Optional cityXplorer content can be downloaded to help you navigate city public transit.
The nuvi 1450 includes also ecoRoute that calculates the most fuel-efficient route, lane assist, as well as support for photo navigation. The device is compatible with FM traffic and MSN Direct. It has a microSD card slot. The Garmin nuvi 1450 is priced at $449.99.
