Plextor introduces the new PX-B940SA Blu-ray writer that is able to write BD-R Single layer ot Dual layer at up to 12X speed, joining Pioneer’s BDR-S05J/BDR-205. The burner writes BD-R LtH at 6X, BD-RW SL/DL at 2X, DVD+/-R at 16X, DVD+/-RW and DVD+/-R DL at 8X and DVD-RAM at 5X. CD-R/RW are also supported at up to 40X.
Plextor PX-B940SA uses SATA interface and has 4MB buffer memory. The device will be shipped in November and come with Intervideo’s WinDVD8, Ulead’s DVD MovieFactory and Burn.Now software.
