Dell made its Latitude Z, the world’st thinnest, lightest 16-inch notebook PC for business users. The new CULV notebook has a lean, eye-catching design and soft-touch Black Cherry finish. The Latitude Z is boosted by either Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 1.6GHz or a SU9400 1.4GHz processor, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM and Intel’s GMA 4500MHD graphics.
The less-than-1-inch-thin Latitude Z has a 16-inch 1600×900 WLED display. It packs either one or two SSD offering a total of up to 512GB storage capacity. The 16-inch notebook comes with a 2 Megapixel webcam, gesture-enabled touchpad, backlit keyboard, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g/n. HSDPA/HSUPA and EVDO 3G modules and Fingerprint scanner are available as options.
The Dell Latitude Z offers an eSATA/USB combo port and a DisplayPort. It is also the first notebook to have wireless docking and inductive charging. It is available now starting at $1999.
