Fitbit launches its fitness tracker designed to track your calories burned, steps taken, distance traveled and sleep quality. The Fitbit is equipped with a contains a 3D motion sensor like the one found in the Nintendo Wii for tracking your motion in three dimension. The Fitbit then converts the collection data into useful information about your daily activities.
The Fitbit comes with a wireless base station that syncs data to the fitbit website, where you can see detailed data and also participate in collaborative fitness goals with friends, family and co-workers. You can wear the Fitbit on your waist, in your pocket or on undergarments and you can wear the Fitbit clipped to the included wristband at night in order to track your sleep.
