Lenovo adds multitouch displays to its ThinkPad X200 Tablet PC and ThinkPad T400s notebook. The new models packs a multitouch display and includes the SimpleTap application that brings simplicity to the multitouch screen experience.
Designed for individuals in fields such as sales, health care and education, the original ThinkPad X200 Tablet already support one finger touch and now with the multitouch display, users can use two-finger touch to perform a variety of gestures, including pinching, zooming, tapping and flicking through documents, web pages and photos instead of using a mouse. It has a 12.1-inch multitouch display.
On the other hand, the ThinkPad T400s serves professionals in engineering and design. They can now use four fingers to manipulate objects, move images with two hands and even have another person touch the screen to collaborate simultaneously. It gets Core 2 Duo SU9400 2.4GHz processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory, 120GB hard drive, 8X DVD burner and UltraNav (TrackPoint and TouchPad) with Fingerprint Reader. It comes with a 14.1-inch multitouch display.
