SanDisk announced the new Extreme Pro CompactFlash memory card. Thanks to the new SanDisk Power Core Controller, an advanced memory controller, the new Extreme Pro card offers “lightning-fast” read and write speeds of up to 600X 90MB/s over a UDMA-6 bus.
Also, the Power Core Controller’s firmware algorithms and 42-bit ECC engine maintain data integrity and extended card endurance through optimized wear leveling. SanDisk’s new CF card is available in capacities ranging from 16GB to 64GB. It features RTV Silicone coating for added protection against moisture and humidity and is able to withstand accidental drops of up to nine feet.
The SanDisk Extreme Pro CompactFlash will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB with a price ranging from $300 to $800. Also introduced is the new SanDisk Extreme that offers 400X 60MB/s read/write speed and 8GB, 16GB or 32GB capacities. The SanDisk Extreme Pro ExpressCard Adapter is also launched to take advantage of the SanDisk Extreme Pro CompactFlash card’s up to 90MB/s read speed.
