Sharp introduces two new iPod docking speaker systems, the DK-AP8P and DK-AP7P, for “headphone-free music on the go”. These docks play music from iPod or iPhone and at the same time recharge the device, like Sharp’s old models.
Both DK-AP8P and DK-AP7P are 2.1-channel speaker systems. They have full-range bass reflex speakers with HDSS (high-definition sound standard) sound technology and ESound digital signal processing technology. These units include also video output for connecting to a TV for video or image playback. 3.5mm stereo input, of course, is available.
The Sharp DK-AP8P (pictured above) comes with a IR wireless touch panel remote control that serves as a magnetic cover when not in use, while the DK-AP7P folds shut – protecting the units from damage during travel. They will come with a piano black finish.
The DK-AP8P and DK-AP7P will be available soon for $189.99 and $129.99 respectively.
