Dell announced the Studio XPS 8000 and XPS 9000 desktop PCs that are based on Intel’s newest Lynnfield chipset and Core i5 or Core i7 processors. These PCs are built for high-end performance. They can be used to enjoy high-definition media or play games.
The Studio XPS 8000 is powered by Core i5 or i7 processor up to Core i7-870 2.93GHz, up to 16GB DDR3 memory and a maximum of two 1.5TB hard drives while the Studio XPS 9000 is equipped with up to Core i7-975 3.2GHz processor, up to 24GB DDR3 RAM, and three 1.5TB hard drives. Both of them can get a dedicated graphics card up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX260 with 1792MB video memory.
Dell’s new Studio packs DVD burner or Blu-ray drive, a 19-in-1 media card reader, eSATA port, 7.1 channel High Definition Audio. WiFi, Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card are available as options. The XPS 8000 and XPS 9000 start at $799 and $840 respectively.
