Brite-View, part of Zinnet, introduces the new CinemaTube (BV-5005HD) as the follow-up to the CinemaCube. Unlike it’s predecessor, the CinemaTube is a 1080p Full HD media player/streamer with embedded YouTube XL (YouTube for TV).
The CinemaTube supports most media formats, including MPEG1/2/4, MKV, h.264 and RMVB (listed bwlow) and the device is ready for Dolby Digital AC3 and DTS audio, and offers up to 1080p Full HD output. CinemaTube also has built-in bittorrent engine so you can download media file on the internet. Users can also install third party applications such as PlayOn and TVersity to enjoy streaming from Netflix, CNN, CNN and ESPN.
The CinemaTube has no internal drive but offers two USB 2.0 ports for connecting external storage device (in FAT16/32, NTFS, Ext3 formats) and an Ethernet port for streaming media from networked computers. It offers HDMI, Composite video and component video outputs. The device is now available for pre-order for $99.99.
