Velocity introduces three new ProMagix Visual Supercomputing workstations (VSCs), the VSC255, VSC250 and VSC135+, that are highly optimized, extreme performance, GPU accelerated visualization workstations for scientific computing.
The entry-level VSC135+ is powered by Intel’s Core i7-920 processor, 6GB RAM and a 256MB NVIDIA Quadro FX370 1x graphics card and a 500GB hard drive. The price starts at $2299.
Next, the $5985 ProMagix VSC250 packs Intel Xeon X5550 Nehalem quad-core 2.66GHz processor, 2GB DDR3 memory, one or two 4GB NVIDIA Tesla C1060 Computing processor and a GeForce 8400GS video card.
Lastly, the ProMagix VSC255 gets the same Intel Xeon X5550 processor but with 12GB DDR3 RAM and up to four 4GB NVIDIA Tesla C1060 Computing processor. It starts at $5995.
